Daniel Oppenhuis, Customer Care Manager

1 What do you and your team do at IOOF?

The Customer Care team is responsible for complaints handling, drafting client and adviser communications for incident/breach rectifications, projects and key initiatives.

2 When and why did you join IOOF?

I joined IOOF from an industry super fund in February 2008. I primarily joined IOOF to gain exposure to different aspects of the financial services industry.

3 What was your first job?

Consents investigation for a regional council.

4 What is the strangest thing that’s happened to you at work?

Being stuck in a lift.

5 Tell us one fact your colleagues might be surprised to learn.

I used to play golf every day and got down to a zero handicap.

6 Craziest thing I've done…

Sky diving.

7 Something I’d like to learn is…

Further develop my technical knowledge of the financial services industry.

8 What is your favourite sports team?

Canterbury Crusaders - (NZ Rugby Union team as I am originally from Christchurch, NZ).
