Online bulk switching launched for Spectrum Super

Spectrum Super’s online transactional functionality has taken another significant step forward with the launch of bulk switching. You can now switch multiple clients from one managed fund to one or more other funds without needing to complete a separate transaction for each client.

The new function makes it easy to:

  • choose the investment you want to sell;
  • select the clients you want to sell that investment for;
  • specify a percentage of client holdings to sell; and
  • identify one or more replacement investments.

Once you’ve made the necessary selections, the required buys and sells are created automatically for up to 200 clients at a time. Standing instructions for these clients will also be modified to reflect the changes to their portfolio.

The process is designed to be simple and user-friendly with automatic validation at each step. Any issues are highlighted with meaningful error messages to allow you to make adjustments as necessary.

Reporting at a glance

In addition to bulk switching, we’ve made life easier for you and your clients by creating ‘at a glance’ reporting icons. You’ll notice that next to each managed fund, there are now icons which (if the information is available) provide single-click access to that fund’s:

  • profile;
  • five year performance;
  • asset allocation; and
  • management expense ratio.

New-look public site

You may have also noticed that our public site has now been refreshed with our new look. There are several changes to the navigation but you should find it still has a familiar feel. The names of many menu items remain the same as they were previously. If you previously used the ‘education’ menu item to view our range of education flyers, you’ll find it still exists. Likewise, you’ll find there is still a ‘brochures and forms’ menu item and an ‘investment options’ menu item.

To make it easier to get to the information you use most often, we’ve added a range of quick links on the homepage. For example, you can now jump straight to performance or unit prices directly from a link on the homepage.

One of the most significant changes we’ve made is to divide the site into sections aimed at members, employers and advisers. At this stage, there are only minor differences between the three areas but as we further develop the site, you’ll start to notice more and more audience-specific content.
