The IOOF Foundation has built up tremendous momentum and strength in 2010. Over $1.1 million of grants were given to 13 different charitable organisations since July 2009.

Some of the very worthwhile not-for-profits that received funding include:

  • Bass Care
  • Good Shepherd
  • Infants Home
  • Lyre Bird Villages Aged Care Centre
  • Odyssey House
  • Pathways Foundation
  • Reclink
  • St Albans Community Support and Assistance Program
  • Song Room
  • Urban Seed
  • Whitelion

The next IOOF Foundation Board meeting will be held in December where the Trustees will make further grants to organisations that assist the community in which we live.

The IOOF Foundation has also received substantial support from the IOOF marketing team in 2010 culminating in the production of a four page brochure detailing the Foundation’s activities. The enthusiastic support and tireless promotion of the Foundation by the IOOF group is essential to the Foundation’s growth and fund raising activities.

The brochure was launched at the Bridges Melbourne Cup function in Sydney where nearly $2,000 was raised for the Foundation. If you would like a copy of the brochure or would like to learn more about the IOOF Foundation, please email me at nicole.wright@ioof.com.au.

In 2011 the Foundation will continue to fund and provide assistance to innovative and essential Australian charities and offer a hand up to those in need.
