Welcome to the August Edition of @dviser Magazine.

As you will have heard earlier this week, Direct Shares is now live on Pursuit Select.

You can now advise your Pursuit Select clients about investing directly in individual ASX listed securities via their Super, Pension or Investment Service accounts.

Plus, you can also help your clients access Dividend Reinvestment Plans and participate in many corporate actions (such as rights issues, off-market share buy backs and share splits).

This new functionality is a major enhancement for Pursuit Select and we sincerely hope you make full use of it and help your clients implement more precisely tailored and finely balanced investment strategies than ever before.

With the ASX 300 up nearly 20 per cent year to date, investor confidence is getting stronger by the day. This means that now may be the perfect time to approach your more sophisticated Pursuit Select clients and let them know they can now take positions on individual shares if they choose.

Importantly, there are a few key things you need to note down about the launch of Direct Shares on Pursuit Select:

  1. A new PDS (or IDPS Guide) dated 24 August 2009 has been issued for Pursuit Select Personal Superannuation, Pursuit Select Allocated Pension and Pursuit Select Investment Service. Please read the article in this edition titled ‘New Pursuit Select PDS Documents’ for more information.
  2. Your clients need to opt in to use Pursuit Select Direct Shares. Existing clients will need to download and complete the Direct Share Choice Opt In form and return it to us. New applicants will need to complete the relevant sections of the new application form to opt in for the Direct Share Choice. Please read the article in this edition titled ‘Pursuit Select Direct Shares – Now Live!’ for more information.

If you have any questions, concerns or comments around Pursuit Select Direct Shares please contact your Business Development Manager, or call Adviser Services on 1800 659 634.

We hope you enjoy reading this edition of @dviser Magazine!
